What is the difference between Primal Toothpaste and the Original Toothpaste?

Both formulas are 100% natural, mineral-rich, and designed to support enamel health and the natural remineralization process — but they take slightly different approaches.

Primal Toothpaste was created as an alternative for those who didn’t love the original, whether due to taste, color, or sensitivities. It has a mild flavor, a clean white appearance, and uses Micro-hydroxyapatite (from fossilized coral). It also contains traditional fats, making it not vegan.

Why is our toothpaste oil-based?

Oil-based tooth care helps create a smooth, cushioned brushing experience while gently helping lift debris from the mouth. This formula uses nourishing oils, minerals, and traditional botanicals without harsh surfactants or foaming detergents.

Is this toothpaste safe for kids of all ages?

Yes - unless there’s an allergy to any ingredient. All ingredients are food or pharmaceutical-grade and used in amounts that are safe if swallowed. That said, we don’t recommend use for babies who are not yet eating solid food.

Great Ingredients 👍

"I love the ingredients in Bliss Energetic's products! I originally bought it for my 4 year old daughter but she doesn't like the taste and refuses to use it. I have tried the orange and cake batter flavors with her so far. To me the flavors are very mild and I don't mind it. I do wish the flavors were a little stronger so that maybe my daughter would use it."

— Morgan H. (4/5)

Favorite Toothpaste

"I bought 4 and store them in fridge. It's all for myself. This plus puddy, my tooth are getting visible results, less translucency. Love the ayurvedic ingredients. It does clog sink drains over time (very oily, paste) so I spit in trash can or toilet."

— Rye (5/5)

Works well

"I love the ingredients in this and bought the Cake Batter flavor for my 12 yo and 10 yo. They say it works better to clean their teeth than anything else they have ever used. The only slight cons are they have gone through it very quickly, and they don't think it tastes like Cake Batter at all, haha. They keep using it though!"

— Cherie (5/5)

Cake batter is a hit with the kids !!!

"Goes on easier than the vegan one not sure how much we like it yet but will probably buy it again! We love all the other products we get from bliss and I’ll come back to review again after this jar is empty. :)"

"Very lightly minted. Felt like I had to use more."

— Daisy h. (5/5)

I’ve been using this toothpaste

"I’ve been using this toothpaste for a bit now and it’s definitely my favorite. The consistency is amazing. My son loves it and now comes into the bathroom and points at his tooth brush. Mineralization wise this is amazing. I feel like it’s getting a really deep clean in my teeth. I’ve struggled with plaque build up recently and this has genuinely been helping it go away so much. The flavor is wonderful too as someone who typically only likes mint lol !"
