To address the root of this, it’s wonderful to limit excessively heating foods and favor ones that help remove heat. That’s also why we use cooling, soothing herbs in our gum products. 🌀
Bacteria in the mouth—and especially under the gums—is also a major issue when treating gum inflammation. Using a water flosser (particularly an ozonated one) and/or a great flosser like Slate can be incredibly helpful. I initially thought Slate was overpriced, but the unique design is very effective for properly cleaning under the gums while flossing.
Mouth breathing and oral dryness are also not helpful when it comes to gum recession and should be addressed. You can oil pull before bed, use xylitol or a saline nasal spray to help clear the nose, and use mouth tape to help retrain yourself.
If you're looking for internal hydration support, try Supreme Hydration, which is filled with Yin-building herbs. And of course, make sure you're getting enough fluids. Cooling, hydrating foods like aloe vera and coconut water are excellent choices. ❤️
